Challenge
A mid-size financial institution was experiencing high alert volumes from their existing rule-based SIEM configuration — roughly 800 alerts per day — but had limited analyst capacity to triage them. Critical alerts were being missed in the noise.
Approach
Cerebo deployed an anomaly detection model trained on eight weeks of the institution's historical log data, focused on user behaviour and authentication patterns. Alert thresholds were reconfigured to reduce rule-based noise and route high-confidence anomalies to a prioritised queue.
Outcome
Alert volume reduced to approximately 40–60 high-priority items per day, with a measurably higher rate of actual security events among investigated alerts. The analyst team's investigation time per alert dropped by roughly 35% due to better contextual information in alert metadata.

Challenge
A healthcare technology platform managing patient data across several Malaysian clinics needed to demonstrate security assurance to a prospective enterprise client. Their previous scan had produced over 1,200 findings with no prioritisation — impractical for their two-person IT team to address.
Approach
Cerebo ran an AI-assisted assessment and applied business-impact contextualisation to all findings, factoring in the sensitivity of data types handled, internet exposure, and patient data access scope. A tiered remediation plan was developed with a 90-day short-list of 18 critical items.
Outcome
The client remediated all 18 short-listed items within the 90-day window. The enterprise client review passed, and the resulting report was used to support PDPA compliance documentation for the clinic network. The team had clear ownership of remaining items with a longer-term remediation schedule.

Challenge
A manufacturing organisation was under board pressure to adopt AI in their security operations following industry peer announcements. Internal champions had conflicting views on which tools to prioritise, and no clear methodology to evaluate vendor claims objectively.
Approach
Cerebo conducted a current-state SOC assessment and a structured evaluation of five shortlisted AI security tools against the organisation's specific environment and analyst team profile. Two tools were identified as genuinely suitable; two were assessed as unsuitable for their scale; one was deferred pending infrastructure changes.
Outcome
The organisation selected and began implementing the two recommended tools within two months of the engagement close. Board reporting was simplified with a clear AI adoption narrative. Internal disagreements were resolved with an objective third-party assessment both sides could work from.
